Proposed By-Law Amendment

Under Article VIII, Section 8.01 of the Lake Wildwood Association By-Laws, members may submit proposed amendments for consideration and vote by the membership.

Current language — Article IV, Section 4.09:
"The Board must reserve a portion of the meeting for owner comments; the duration and meeting order of that comment period are within the Board's sole discretion."

Proposed amendment:
"The Board must reserve a portion of the meeting of the board for owners’ comments, submitted in writing or made from the floor. All owners’ comments shall be included and published within the Board meeting minutes. However, the duration and meeting order for the owners comment period is within the sole discretion of the board."

The Association's attorney advised that public comments related to the proposed amendment not be included in published Board Meeting Minutes, citing governance, accuracy, consistency, professionalism, and potential risks involving context or misquotation.
